Current World Archaeology #114 talks about the research by Danilo M Campanaro and Giacomo Landeschi on the combined use of virtual reality-based eye tracking and 3D GIS!

A project conducted at the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History, Lund University, in collaboration between the Digital Archaeology Lab (DARKlab) and the Humanities laboratory has allowed the testing of an innovative methodology in which virtual reality-based eye-tracking techniques and 3D Geographical Information Systems are employed to record and measure human visual attention within the virtually reconstructed space of a Pompeian house.
