It is with great pleasure we announce that the beta-version of our reference collection of 3D artefacts is available in high resolution through the Lund University DARKLab website.

This is a unique system which allows the viewer to:

  • engage with the models on a detailed level
  • measure the models
  • create sections
  • export high-res orthoimages
  • explore the objects' surfaces in high resolution
  • explore metadata and paradata connected to each object
  • create dynamic annotations and share those with students and/or colleagues!
  • create specialized 3D collections to share with students and/or colleagues

You can access the collection here: https://www.darklab.lu.se/digital-collections/dynamic-collections/

Currently, the collection is focused on artefacts from Scandinavia, and range from the palaeolithic to the medieval period.

At the moment there are 150 artefacts available in the system, but we will enrich the collection with many more artefacts during the coming spring!
