Ortho Projection Vertical
This tutorial demonstrates how to generate vertical orthographic projections (e.g., building façades or architectural sections) in RealityScan from a georeferenced 3D model. It explains how to correctly orient the reconstruction box, configure the auto-projection settings, define image resolution, and export the resulting orthophoto. The workflow is particularly useful for archaeological and architectural analysis, such as documenting façades and investigating construction phases of masonry structures.
This tutorial builds on two previously produced tutorials: one focusing on the georeferencing of 3D models and another explaining how to generate orthographic projections from a top view. The workflow presented here assumes that a georeferenced model is already available and extends the previous tutorials by demonstrating how to produce vertical orthographic projections, such as façades or sections.
The dataset used in these tutorials is the same dataset introduced in the earlier tutorials on georeferencing and top-view orthographic projections, where instructions for downloading and preparing the data are provided.
